Effective network marketing prospecting is about doing two things well: •Marketing a product to people who already have a need or a desire for it. •Marketing yourself in such a way that you are the supplier of choice. In Internet network marketing your best prospecting strategies would be to: •Market to those who have been in network marketing before. •Market to those who are currently in network marketing today. •Market to those who are actively purchasing information about Internet network marketing. Why is this effective network marketing? •Network marketers are willing to invest to learn skills that will help them succeed. •Network marketers want to be successful. •Network marketers believe in the multilevel business model. So if you want to make your network marketing prospecting easy, and have fun doing it; then target network marketers, and those looking to buy into Internet network marketing. Why do Mike Dillard, Ann Sieg, Randy Gage – to name a few – all sell “how to” information and advertise those products instead of their networking businesses? It positions them to interact with future business partners without being perceived as a competitor, and you can cerainly do the same! Mike Dillard says, “No one who ever bought a drill actually wanted a drill. They wanted a hole. So, if you want to sell drills, advertise information about making holes – not drills!” Think about this… If we want to successfully build our network marketing business, what should we advertise? •What do network marketers want? •What do they need help doing? •Sponsoring distributors and customers, right? So market information that will help them with their sponsoring problems in the form of an open generic system they can participate in. If a network marketer truly wanted financial freedom, wouldn’t they be willing to spend a few dollars to learn how they could build their organization faster with less effort? I know I have been and the skills I have learned have been invaluable! This is how sponsoring moves from something you do to something that happens automatically. Then after you market the “how” you have the opportunity to build a relationship and trust so you can effectively market “the who, what and why of your company”. This is the opposite of what most networkers do and why most fail. Follow these tips and you will see your network marketing prospecting results soar!
